Mustang Players and Coach Taylor Receive Regional Honors

For the past few years it has been normal for the Mustangs to receive a great deal of recognition during the year-end regional awards. This year has been no exception as several players were honored, along with Assistant Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator Tim Taylor.

This team had a giant bull's-eye on them all year being the reigning TSSAA Class 3A State Champions. Even with teams being ultra-focused on defeating the Mustangs, the Mustangs responded and at times were even dominate all year long. This group of players along with other seniors and some underclassmen, in addition to a great coaching staff were the reasons the Mustangs were only a few plays from returning to yet another Class 3A State Championship game. Congratulations to these Mustang players and Coach Tim Taylor on these awards and this well-deserved recognition!

Mustangs Named to the 2008 Toyota Tennessee East-West All-Star Classic Football Team Roster

Several Senior Mustang Players were named to the 2nd Annual Tennessee East-West All-Star Classic Football Team. The players who were named are as follows:

Dallon Hudson - OT

Kyle Lehning - DB

Zach Rogers - WR

Evan Webb - TE

Michael Saggio - LB (Alternate)

These Mustangs have not only been a major reason for the success of the Mustangs over the last few years, but have also been part of one of the most successful classes of players at any high school in the state of Tennessee.

The game is to be played at 12:00 Noon EST (11:00 AM CST) Saturday December 13 at the Burke-Tarr Stadium on the campus of Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City Tennessee. The game will also be broadcast live in the middle Tennessee area on WUXP MyTV30. http://www.mytv30web.com/
