2009 Mustangs Close-Out Season
The banquet this past Monday night, was a
very successful and memorable event. The coaches congratulated
the 2009 Mustangs on a successful season. They presented awards
and said thanks to a number of players, and people who have
supported the program this past year.
Coach McCadams said his memories of the 2009 team would be that
they faced an uphill battle early in the season with the new
district, and a tough schedule. With the Mustangs record
standing at 2 - 3, and with them being set to face a
formidable and inspired Whites Creek team, they could have
folded. Instead, they met the challenges presented by the
coaching staff, and worked harder in order to defeat Whites
Creek and to eventually turn the season around. They then went
on to win 6 straight games and earn a share of the 10 AA
District Championship.
The program and the roster continue to grow as the Coaches
talked about the need to expand facilities to accommodate the
larger roster. They then went on to challenge the players who
would be returning next year to work hard and raise the level of
their play.
Stay tuned for future updates for the 2010 season.
