|
 |
Gene Stallings |
Retired from Coaching,
Motivational Speaker |
Former Head Coach at Alabama Crimson Tide, NCAA Division I National
Championship. Member of the Church Of Christ. Could give the
program instant credibility and name recognition for recruiting. Would
only stay with the program no more than five years. Probably would
select on the front end his successor. |
 |
Ricky Bowers |
Athletics director at the
new Ensworth High School in Nashville. |
Former coach of Montgomery Bell Academy and produced State Championships.
Also coached at Brentwood Academy and David Lipscomb High School.
Former Lipscomb Bison Basketball standout. Member of the Church of
Christ. Perhaps would be interested in the position if the money was
right. The lure of starting your own Division I-AA program could get
him thinking of this new challenge. He and his wife both attended
Lipscomb U. |
|
|
 |
Neil O'Donnell |

5 in Sports Dept. |
Former Pro and Titan QB. Loves the Nashville area. Indicated
that when his playing days are over in the NFL would like to coach at a High
School Program like David Lipscomb or at a small college program.
Probably would like to build a program from the ground up. Despite
what he indicated on a radio interview last season, unsure of his religious
affiliation. |

Science Hill High School |
A High School Offensive mastermind. Has won a TSSAA State Class 1A

Metro Councilman and
Officer in Mortgage Bus. Nashville
Mayoral candidate |
Former Lipscomb High coach and his teams won 5 N.I.L. Championships.
Produced 3 D-1 prospects. Name often comes up in the Lipscomb
community. Probably too far removed from football. The
likelihood of his actual and the school interest is probably none. |
 |
Jeff Rutledge |
Receivers coach with
the Arizona Cardinals
of the NFL. |
Former QB @ University of Alabama, Former Pro QB, QB coach at Vanderbilt,
and now current coach and winner of a State Championship at MBA in the

players to go on and play college football. Could have interest in the
position when it becomes available. State Runners Up in 1998, 2003,
2005, and 2006, |
 |

have some interest in the opening when available. Local and regional
name recognition. |
 |
Tommy
Tuberville |
Current Head Coach at Auburn University and formerly of Ole Miss. |
Reported is a member of the Church of Christ. Despite the episode
in 2003, will probably not be interested. However he could provide
assistanct to the University in finding a candidate who meets all of the
qualifications of the school. |
