Week 8 vs. CPA |
 |
#12 – Clark Malloy. . .
(last drive) I had so much faith in our receivers.
Stefen was huge on the third down play.
Blake Johnson told me to just throw him the ball and he would
catch it. He did.
The momentum was in our favor.
(game overall)
The conditions were horrible as our backs could not cut at all but they
took care of the ball.
(next two games) This
game gives us confidence to know that we can come back.
The win keeps us at the top of the district and we now have to
finish strong and we will be alright when it comes to the playoffs. |
 |
#23 – William Officer. . .
(final TD) I just wanted to get into the end zone for us to get the
win. I was determined to do this
for the team. We started that
drive so far away that I couldn’t do anything at the beginning.
The passing game had to come up big and it did. |
 |
#28 – Blake Johnson . . . (trying to stop CPA’s QB)
He has a strong arm and probably the best that we have seen this
year. He makes plays for them.
Our coaches had told us that as many passes that he throws in a
game, we would have a chance to make some plays.
We just had to keep forcing the passes.
(2:00 minute offense)
Lance and I come in on the two minute offense and just try to make plays
happen. Clark Malloy threw great
passes.
(win in general) It gives us confidence.
We could have quit but it gives us confidence to come back and
make plays to win. We have to
focus and play hard. |
 |
#30 – Seth Hubler . . . (INT) I was just in the
right place at the right time. Our
line put great pressure on their quarterback and the coaches had us in
the right play call. I can’t
take much credit for that one.
(3 INTs in 3 games) The
defensive line helps by putting so much pressure on the quarterback.
I have always had a tendency to get interceptions but again, I
can’t take the credit. Everyone
makes it happen. |
 |
#35 – William Stevens. . .
(game in general) I feel like we
played well in that type of field condition.
We knew that their quarterback was a good athlete and both teams were
hurt by the weather. We were able to
limit their big plays for the most part.
It was good that we were able to persevere and get the win. |
 |
#59 – Kyle Chester . . . (game in
general) The offensive line played well.
There were some plays that we could have played better but we had
a good drive at the end. Our pass
protection was good on that drive.
(season turn around)
The Goodpasture game helped us to come together as a team and it has
showed.
